What is a Vanguard? What is their role?

The Vanguard institutions will help facilitate SUNY's development of the network zone and other consortial configurations. Starting in March 2018, they will go through data migration activities and create an initial test Alma/Primo environment for SUNY. The work performed by Vanguards and various working groups during the Vanguard phase will be instrumental in determining how all 60 SUNY institutions will migrate their data to Alma and Primo, a process that will kickoff in July 2018.
