SUNY New Layout Reported Cases with Ex Libris

New Layout Cases Open with Ex Libris
Reported Issue Case # Date Reported Resolution
The ability to push new layout configurations to users would be helpful. Scenario - student workers or people performing the same tasks, The ability to push a layout with pins, favorites, menus hidden for areas not used would be great. Can this be something that can be added to a profile or pushed to specific users? 00856657 6/30/2020
The new layout has slow response when navigating it. When is performance expected to be improved? 00856657 6/30/2020
The Advanced Search icon in on the left of the persistent search bar. Is it possible to move it to the right to keep consistency with the position in the previous layout? 00856657 6/30/2020
Advanced searches do not remain above the search results, you need to click on the Advance Search icon to see the advanced search and refine it. Can the Advanced Search remain above the results so the user can see their search and edit it as necessary without bouncing between results and advances search? 00856657 6/30/2020
The ability to use ESC (escape) to close the main menu navigation, search and manage Alma links, and advanced search would reduce clicks and be useful. ESC is used to closed form in the MD Editor (old and new) 00856657 6/30/2020
Color of the New Navigation Bar. Can the Main Menu Navigation bar be the same color at the Header? It would keep continuity. Changing the color for configuration is good because it tells the user they are using a different menu. 00856657 6/30/2020 August 2020 - change color for configuration
When I pin certain Main Menu links they wrap, others do not. I suggest they do not wrap or they all wrap to keep consistency. Example Design Analytics (BUF sandbox, user SLC) 00856657 6/30/2020 August 2020
The Main Menu icons disappears when you are in the Configuration menu - top right-hand icons 00861227 7/1/2020 Help & User icons now appear as of August 2020
The old MD Editor gets cut off when the new layout is used, the right hand box that is meant for content when available is eating up valuable real estate and makes the MD Editor less usable. 00856657 7/1/2020 August Release
The scroll bar on the side to move through the page is narrow and light making it hard to see/use. 00856657 7/1/2020
Unchecked enable new layout for my user in BUF's sandbox. The User is SUNY, SLC. I even logout out and back in a few times and cleared my cache, but the new layout remains and will not switch back to the old layout. 00856657 7/8/2020 Resolved July 2020
In a previous case it was reported not all configurations are showing even though I have all the correct roles to see everything. Discovery does not allow me to see all configuration menu options. I will attach the image. this issue is why I was trying to return to the old layout. 00861228 7/8/2020 Appears Resolved with July 19, 2020 update

For sandboxes using the new layout. Can the Library logo have sandbox super-imposed on the logo. It is not as obvious with the new layout if you are in a sandbox unless you look at the Search and Manage Alma links and below that it says Alma Sandbox. In the old user layout it is more clear.

As of 7/19/2020 it no longer says Sandbox at all when using a sandbox.

00856657 7/10/2020
When Open Metadata editor is chosen as a favorite it does not stick. If it is pinned, it is unpinned when the favorite it no longer under Search and Manage Alma links. I haven't noticed other favorites disappearing and I am not sure if this is due to the New MD Editor and toggling between the two or not, or unrelated to this. 00861246/00856657 7/11/2020 August 2020
