About Sets for Resource Management

Sets can be created from:

  • A repository search (logical)
  • Analytics (itemized)
  • Excel or .csv files (itemized)

Creating Sets From A Repository Search

Alma has robust search capabilities that allows sets to be created from a simple or advanced repository search without requiring sets to be created from external resources, such as analytics.

A simple Title/Physical Items search contains search indexes from the bib, holdings, and item record. An advanced Title/Physical Items search has the ability to search more fields in bib, holdings, and item records than a simple title search allows. The fields in an advanced Titles search or divided by record type, whereas a simple Title search has a combination of the fields available in its search index.
